One of the best free FTP software has to be Filezilla.

Filezilla is an OpenSource project which means it’s freely available to use.

It comes as 2 downloads, a server and a client.

Download the Client software if you want to access other peoples FTP server. A typical example of this would be uploading / downloading your files to a web server.

Download the Server software if you want to make the files on your machine available to other machines.

If you want to do both, download both.
